One day Zeus was flying around in the form of an eagle when he saw something:

ROUND POSTERIOR –
Of a young goat herder.
Ganymede was this boy’s name.
No hair on his chin yet.
ONE VIOLENT SWOOP –
AND IT WAS DONE.
There is a whole artistic GENRE –
In the Italian renaissance –

THE RAPE OF GANYMEDE.
Even Rembrandt did a painting on this theme.
Zeus –
Of course –
ENJOYED –
Many lovers.

GANYMEDE WAS THE ONLY ONE OF ZEUS’S PARAMOURS --
UPON WHICH HE BESTOWED THE BLESSING OF:
IMMORTALITY.
He did this by transforming our young Ganymede into:
THE AQUARIAN CONSTELLATION.
